Shrine of Remembrance (Melbourne)

Le "Shrine of Remembrance", ou "Sanctuaire du Souvenir" en français, rend hommage à tout les australiens qui ont servi en temps de guerre. À l'intérieur se trouve la "Pierre du Souvenir", en marbre, sur laquelle est gravée l'inscription : "Greater love hath no man", qui vient d'un verset de la Bible disant "Il n'y a pas de plus grand amour que de donner sa vie pour ses amis". Et le 11 Novembre, à 11h, les rayons du soleil passent par un trou dans le toit du Sanctuaire pour venir illuminer le mot "Love".

________ The "Shrine of Remebrance" is a memorial to all Australians who have served in war. Inside the sanctuary there is a marble stone with the insription : "Greater love hath no man", from the Bible "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". The 11th of November, at 11 am, a ray of sunlight falls from a aperture in the roof on the word "Love".
